Harvesting
- Plants remain on the field during Winter and die from freeze
- Leaves drop off (nitrate recirculation)
- Spears are harvested from March using a rowless crop-chopper (12-15% humidity)
- Rapid harvesting - approx. 1ha per hour
- Enormous yields of approx. 15t TM/ha
- Approx. 100-150 m3/ha
- The first harvest is two years after planting, then one harvest p. a.
Storage
- Unproblematic storage due to low water content
- Dehydration at no cost or effort
